For 15 years, Jim served as subject-matter expert for glass bottles to the global
Coca-Cola System.

Jim assisted both glass suppliers and bottlers around the world in identifying and solving operational problems and creating the Company’s future packaging.

He served myriad roles — like building supplier capability with both cost and supply benefits. He also helped design new packages with longer durability for increased refill life cycles over existing packages.

And no matter the issue, Jim works to train associates throughout the production cycle, building their skill sets and equipping them to foresee and avoid future problems.
Jim also is trained as an “Expert Witness” in glass packaging issues, serving as subject-matter expert in legal venues.

As a consultant, Jim determined the root cause of bottle breakage in the pasteurizer. He implementd short-term quality improvements and applied Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to strengthen the glass bottle design as a long-term improvement.
